I have just concluded 6 weeks of being wheat-free! I did not even notice it has been a month and a half already. So... 6 weeks of:
- No bread
- No pasta
- No pancit (my favorite)
- No pizza
- No ice cream
- No soda
- No potatoes
- No breading mix
- No MSG
- No bouillon cubes
- No pastries
- No CHEETOS JALAPENO or RUFFLES SOUR CREAM AND CHEDDAR (my ultimate sacrifice)
- No pancake or waffles
- No fast food
- NO siopao
- No Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs (another favorite)
- NO ham
- No bacon
- No gravy
- No Knorr Seasoning or sinigang mix
What I realized is that the most important aspect of adapting a healthier lifestyle is preparing one's own food because you get to control what you put in it.

DeleteHi Lia!
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled upon your blog, and i instantly became glued on it. Actually, i was looking for must try food/restos in cebu, as i plan on going with my mom next year. Anyway, i'm interested in the Wheat Belly diet you're in. can you give me a short info/experience of how you were able to survive through it? I am very much interested and curious if i can do it as well.
Regards! and now, i'm putting your blog as part of my favorite sites to follow and visit. if you don't mind. :)
maita
Hi, Maita! Thank you for following my site. I bought the book, Wheatbelly by Dr William Davis and my journey into the wheat-free lifestyle started.
ReplyDeleteIt was so easy for me to sustain the diet because I really do not like eating bread and pasta so it was not a hardship for me. I just stopped eating any product made with wheat and its by-product.
Check my June 18 Wheatfree blog post and I have a list of what I can eat and cannot eat. Plus I can email you a 4 week wheat-free menu if you like.
The diet is so easy to follow! Give it a try.
Hi Lia! That would be great and really helpful as I try the diet. you may email me at avarie_1303@yahoo.com.
DeleteAlso, I was wondering where you bought the Wheatbelly book? Is it available locally?
Thank you so much! :D
