Early Breakfast at Aristrocat

Good morning!

Hahahahaha Such a novelty for me to say that phrase. I'm never up early enough to utter those words.

But not today.... I woke up at 7:30 for the send off breakfast for Tita Jit and Ryan at Aristrocrat Jupiter.

Sherman, James and Mona had breakfast meals.

Tita Jit, Ryan and Jing had the bbq with Java rice.

I only wanted the Honey Fried Chicken!

It was a quick breakfast because Tita Jit and Ryan had to get ready for their flight back to Bangkok.

Thank you, Tita Jit and Ryan!

We enjoyed all our food trips!

Until the next time!

See you soon and have a safe trip home.

Rizal Day Outing

My house guests and I together with Jing, Sherman and Mona spent the day in Manila.

So easy to navigate the city because the traffic was light.

Our first stop was in Binondo.

We went around Chinatown and checked out the grocery stores.

I bought Sesame Peanut Ampao and Peanut Bar. I wanted to buy Ube Langka Hopia!!! But I could not eat it. Not because of the sugar but because of the wheat.

We had a light meal at Ling Nam Noodle Factory on T. Alonzo St.

They ordered soup with freshly made hand pulled noodles.

I just had Beef Wanton soup, no noodles.

Mona ordered siopao.

For merienda, we ate at Hizon's on J. Bocobo St.

I had the bunless cheeseburger.

It was a little "sad".

I wanted to eat the Spaghetti!

And the complimentary soft bread rolls!

And the Palabok!

And the grilled ensaymada!

And the triple decker club sandwich!

Good thing, I was able to try some of the Dinuguan.

It is so hard to be on a diet when everything I want to eat is bad for me.

Jing said I try not to eat carbs and yet I do not control myself when it comes to chocolates!

I just need to be more self-disciplined. It is so easy to give in to temptation.

I was this close (holding my thumb and forefinger together) to succumbing to the "call" of the ensaymada.

But.... I was able to resist!

Lots of temptation in Manila but everybody had fun in today's outing.

Until your next visit, Tita Jit and Ryan!

Tita Jit at The Batcave

Welcome to The Batcave, Tita Jit!

Tita Jit is from Bangkok but is on vacation here in Manila. She is Jing's Tita.

We woke up very early to buy seafood in Farmer's Market.

Tita Jit bought crabs and she asked me to cook Chili Crabs.

Jumping Live Suahe!

She made Thai Chicken soup with galangal, kafir lime leaves and wansuy from Bangkok.

She also brought a Thai meat dip and we used baby gherkins which we sliced thinly as a base for the appetizer.

I let her try my Sisig.

The oxtail of the Kare Kare came all the way from Bangkok.

Jing and Sherman grilled their special Liempo.

Mariger brought ice cream!

Tricia and Mona brought stuff for Tita Jit to bring home to Bangkok!

Tita Jit also brought durian chips, fresh tamarind and mangoes!

So much food! So little space in the stomach!!!

Wish I could eat and eat and eat!

But alas.... There is a limit to how much one can eat.

Thank you, Tita Jit for our Holiday lunch!

Next time, we will cook and eat again!

Dampa Dinner with Jing's Family

I was invited by Bo, Jing's brother, to have dinner with them in Dampa.

Tita Jit and Ryan are in town from Bangkok! So it was like killing 2 birds with one stone.

We went to the market to buy fresh seafood and had it cooked at the Royal Kitchen.

Steamed Lapu-Lapu

Steamed Shrimps with Garlic

Grilled Stuffed Pusit

Garlic Ginger Mussels

Baked Mussels with Cheese

Halaan Ginger soup

Fried Bihod (fish egg roe)

Ensaladang Lato

Grilled Liempo

Broccoli with Garlic

So much food! All healthy food!

We did not even finish everything because Bo ordered for 2 tables!

It was guilt-free eating so you could indulge to your hearts content.

Which we did!

Thank you, Bo and Millie for inviting me!

Happy New a Year!
