I experimented with a different version of Steamed Fish tonight. I bought Tilapia from SM this afternoon and I did not want to fry it, although it would taste good eaten with French butter and kalamansi.
I prefer this version better than my other Steamed Fish recipe.
Steamed Fish with Oyster Sauce
1. K Tilapia or any white meat fish
1/2 t. Salt
1/2 t. Sugar
Season fish with salt and sugar and steam for 10 minutes.
Sauce
4 stalks leeks, cut into 3 inch length
1 inch knob of ginger, shaved (use a peeler)
3 T. Knorr Seasoning
3 T. Lee Kum Kee oyster sauce
1 T. White sugar
1/4 C. Chicken stock or water
1 t. Sesame oil
Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.
2 T. Cooking oil
Heat the oil until very hot. Add the sauce mixture. When it boils, pour over the fish and steam for 10 minutes more.
So perfect with Stir-fried Garlic Kangkong.
Panalo!! The kids and hubby loved this!! Thanks once again Li :-) dapat Knorr seasoning and Leekum kee Oyster sauce should sponsor your blog!!
