Very Easy Baked Shrimps for Noche Buena

I wonder if people are racking their brains... Thinking of what to cook for Noche Buena.

I experimented yesterday with a very easy Baked Shrimps recipe.

Baked Shrimps

1 K. Large Suahe

6 pcs. Kalamansi, juice of

Pepper

220 g. Butter, softened

220 g. Quickmelt cheese, grated

1/2 C. Japanese breadcrumbs

1/4 C. Parmesan cheese, grated

Cut a slit along the back of the shrimps up to the tail end.

Remove the black membrane and split open with a knife.

Marinate with Calamansi juice and pepper for 10 minutes.

Combine the butter and grated Quickmelt cheese.

Spread 1-2 teaspoons of butter mixture on top of the butterflied shrimps.

You can freeze the shrimps at this point if you are going to cook at a later time.

If not....

Mix the Japanese breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan in a bowl. Sprinkle on top of the shrimps.

Bake at 350F for 10 minutes or until the shrimps turn orange.

Switch to broil setting if your oven has it and continue cooking for 5 more minutes.

Just "eyeball" the shrimps so as not to overcook.

Save the drippings and put in a bowl.

Serve the sauce on the side.
