My Birthday Cake Collection

I received a lot of birthday cakes for the month of August.

Cake #1 came from PD!

It is a virtual birthday cake! I would love to have one next year!

Cake #2 was from Ms. Ann. Mango Bravo

Cake #3 was the Yema Cake from the Ka Escapades!

Cake #4 came from FGM! Costa Brava's Marshmallow Cake.

Cake #5 was from Bo - Sonja's Rainbow Cake

Cake #6 was a baby cake at Vikings! When Billy had a birthday, the other August celebrants got one as well.

Cake #7 was Twinkies! Ate bought it from S&R.

Cake #8 was the Banana Cake from Baguio Country Club.

Cake # 9 was given to me by KST - Costa Brava's Caramel Cake.

Cake # 10 came from Leah! Hokkaido Cakes

Cake #11 was sent electronically by Donabelle! It is the thought that counts.

Cake #12 was given on my birthday by Tracy Tuason.

My birthmonth is almost over. Another year to look forward to.

Lots of blessings came into my life the past year and I pray to have more in the future!

I feel so loved by all my friends.

Annual Cebu Trip with Ate and Gilly

Ate, Gilly and I go to Cebu every year to celebrate my birthday.

We love to eat our favorite food!

We checked in at Waterfront Hotel.

The first destination was Rico's Lechon at the Ridges Commercial Center right beside Sykes Mabolo on F. Cabahug St.

We ordered one platter each of lechon.

It is so stressful when I have to share my lechon because I eat so slow. At least I can take my time knowing that nobody will get from my plate.

Extra lechon skin!

I was so happy when I heard Gilly say after eating lechon:

"I just need an hour and I could eat again!"

A true blood relative! She does not even know my requirement for a traveling partner.

Said partner should be able to eat every hour on the hour!

I already trained Mona and Jing to eat every hour when they are with me.

Breakfast was supposed to be at the Abaca Baking Company but we had dessert there instead.

I ordered the Old Fashioned Layered Cake.

Gilly tried the Chocolate Cream Tart.

Ate's order was the Blueberry Cheesecake.

So lucky that we were able to hear mass the Ayala Center's Chapel. Late afternoon snack was Majestic near the Chapel.

I really loved the Siomai!!!

I could eat several baskets of these!

We also ordered Pancit Bam-i

Hakaw

Chicken Feet

Radish Cake

Kropeck

Snow Halo Halo!!!! Shaved milk ice!

We walked around the mall because we needed to get hungry again for dinner! Such a tough eating itinerary when you are with me.

Finally, after a while, we went to Kusina Uno. We never go to Cebu without eating Pochero, their version of Bulalo.

That was the end of my eating activity for the day.

Breakfast buffet was such a wheatful spread! I ate bread, pancakes and waffles!!!

I loved their bacon. I even asked for the brand but they said, they get it from a supplier.

Last meal in Cebu....

That concludes my dining adventure in Cebu!

Bday-Dida

It was Pinky's Despedida party yesterday which coincided with my birthday so we called it:

Bday-Dida.

Pinky is leaving for the US on September 2 for an overdue vacation! I hope she comes back soon. I promised to bake sans rival for her Bienvenida.

Most of our friends came en masse.

The Ka Escapades with Alex, Dodai, Mylene, Candy and Janette!

This is how much we love you, Pinky!

I cooked my Children's Sweet Style Spaghetti.

Pork BBQ and Drinks came from our hosts, Doc BF and Dra. Tricia.

Jodie and Eric Brought 2 Roast Chickens from S&R.

Miko and Alvin ordered Taco Salad from me.

Mona cooked Ginataang Mais.

Dodai and Alex gave us Zubuchon Lechon from Cebu!

Pinky brought Cassava Cake and Pichi Pichi from Don Benito's.

The chocolates were from Candy.

Ice cream from Mylene and Janette. Arce Cheese and Pistachio.

Everybody was busy inputting their song number in the videoke machine!

I cannot remember why we were laughing so hard but it must have been really funny!

Ohhh! That is what I will miss most about Pinky!!!! Super hilarious person! A hoot and a half!

Since it was also my birthday, they sang and let me blow the candle!

Tracy Tuason gave me the cake.

When we all get together, definitely, the following day my voice would be so hoarse either from too much singing or just too much laughing!

Even if Dra. Tricia served Pei Pa Koa and Gingerbon candies to soothe our throats, they were no match for our "noisy" gathering.

Hurry home, Pinky!

You haven't left yet but I miss you already!

I love you!!!
