Milk Tea is in! I have seen the sudden mushrooming of the milk tea fad. And why not? It is very delicious. I am a tea drinker rather than coffee so this is very refreshing for me.
My number one favorite is Happy Lemon!!!! I would line up for 30 minutes just to get a glass of this yummy concoction. I tried several flavors and my favorite is......
Milk Tea with Black Pearls and Puff Cream
0% sugar replaced with my two packets of Splenda which I bring with me all the time.
My next favorite is Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese
The way to drink it is by sipping slowly and not using the straw. YUMMMM!
I have tried the Deluxe Milk Tea with brown sugar jelly ... it was just so so ...
The QQ Brilliant Tea was a bit tart for me.
Tonight, my Happy Lemon fix was Cocoa Milk Tea with Puff Cream and additional Black Pearls - 50% sugar only. I forgot to bring my artificial sugar packets.
My 5 year old nephew, Renzo, tried the Milk Tea with Cookies and Cream.
LOL He did not like it, if you are not used to Milk Tea... it will taste like surot, after his first sip, he was teary eyed and said: I only want the normal Happy Lemon!!!!
My second favorite Milk Tea brand is Gong Cha.
I LOVE the Toffee Milk Tea with extra Black Pearls and 0% sugar replaced by 2 packets of Splenda.
Tried also the Earl Grey Milk Tea with Black Pearls
My least favorite is Cha Time.
The very first time I had Cha Time Milk Tea, after my first sip, I told Celine: Please hold it for me!!! I need to go to the rest room! Hahahaha It did not agree with my stomach.
I ordered the Milk Tea with QQ jelly and coconut grass jelly for my second time.
My 3rd Cha Time attempt was Tie Guan Yin Latte.
I suppose for the Filipino Coffee lovers, it is an acquired taste but very much picking up. I could drink several glasses of Milk tea in a day but that is sooo fattening so I just buy it as a treat. Hahahaha As in ... an everyday treat.
I love Happy Lemon!!!!!
Haven't tried Happy Lemon :-(
ReplyDeleteYou should! I cannot wait for my next Happy Lemon.
