It used to be celebration after celebration but I only had a few this time with family and friends.
On the 1st day of August, Cristina treated me for lunch at Via Mare, Landmark and then we went shopping for my birthday gift to be given by Odinah.
A quick and unplanned get together by my Baliw travel group. We had dinner at Samyupsalamat in BF and then coffee and dessert in Jodie's house.
My absolute favorite birthday activity, candle blowing on my cake even if I cannot eat the cake!

I opted to spend my birthday week in Cebu. Perfect place to eat Keto food!
My 1st stop was Rico's Lechon in Mandaue.

I stayed in an Airbnb across Ayala Center Cebu. It is just a studio unit but I love it!
The next day my Ate flew to Cebu to celebrate with me.
We ate Bulalo and Chicharon Bulaklak at Abuhan.
Went around SM Seaside and Landers Cebu.
Still so full from lunch that we only had cold cuts, sausages, nuts and cheese in the condo unit for dinner.

Our lunch was in Feria, Radisson Hotel in Cebu.
Problem with doing Keto is that I don't eat as much now. Good thing there were several choices for me in the buffet.

Snow Ice at Majestic for merienda. It is my favorite bui I only had 1 tablespoon. It was enough for me.
Of course, I had to hear mass on my special day at Our Lady of Sacred Heart on Escario.

Ate had to fly back home the following day. We had brunch at Abaca Baking Company.

Omelette with mushrooms, ham, bacon and 3 kinds of cheese for me.
When Ate left, my friends flew all the way to Cebu!
I invited them for dinner at Alejandro's Crispy Pata.
So sweet of Mayette to bring all the props and decors and the Junkies helped her set it up.
Shey, Cat and Mona together with Paz, who is a resident of Cebu, celebrated my 50th birthday with me!

Brunch the next day was in House of Lechon! Again! It is my favorite lechon place now in Cebu. I do not have to go to Carcar anymore.

It was time to head back to Manila.
I really enjoyed my birthday in the land of Lechon!
My travel group, Baliws (Doc Bf, Dr. Cristina, Jodie, Eric, Pinky, Mona, Odinah, Dodai, Carrie and Gio) had a birthday "surprise" for me! Tina who could not attend the party sent the sans rival cake!
Hahahaha! I told them that I do not want a surprise birthday party because I want to be excited about it.
I was surprised by the "surprise" party!
You can see how well loved I am! They decorated Jodie's house, they made loot "bags" and arranged the food in a way that resembles an Island Hopping setting!
I've never done island hopping because I get dizzy when I am in a banca for a long time so it was a dream come true for me.
There was even a program!

I was thinking and reflecting on what was the most special thing that happened on my 50th Birthday.
And then....
Boom! The greatest gift I could give to myself is a healthy 50 year old me!
Since I started doing Keto last July 11, my sugar reading never went overboard. It is spectacular and amazing. As my doctor would say, remarkable!!!
