Culinary Journey with Chef Vicky Pimentel

We had another cooking demo again in Bel-Air.

Our guest was Chef Vicky Pimentel of Cucina Victoria and Aruga, the cafe of the serviced apartments of Rockwell.

I was assigned to lead the opening prayer! It was just a short one.

Heavenly Father,

As we come together today, we are asking you for your blessing and guidance as we begin this cooking demo.

We give you thanks for the wonderful opportunity to learn new recipes from Chef Vicky Pimentel.

We also give thanks to the organizers of this activity and for the support of Barangay Bel-Air, BAVA and WOBA.

And most of all, we pray for the success of this cooking demo.

This we ask of you, through Christ, our Lord. amen.

Whew! Sometimes it is very hard to compose a prayer. I did not want it to be too long.

We were so fortunate that Chef Vicky not only shared her recipes with us, but she also shared some cooking techniques not found in recipe books! She was also generous with the portions for food tasting.

She first demonstrated how to make Bacon Meatloaf with Cheesy Mushroom Sauce.

Next was the Mozzi Balls with Pomodoro Sauce - meatballs stuffed with Mozzarella Cheese.

Followed by the Oriental Salad...

Cold Pasta Primavera with Balsamic Vinaigrette.

The dessert was Saba con Crema with Roasted Walnuts!

That was my favorite! I will recreate the dessert for my family.

I will share the recipes when I get them in email form.

Hahahaha too lazy to type manually because they are a bit long.

We will have several cooking demos in the following months from June to October.

I am excited to learn more from the Master Chefs!
