The Promise of 2012

Wow! It is 2012 already!!! It is going to be an exciting year.  All the single ladies...... it is the LEAP year! Yes!!!  Watch out, World! The ladies will be on the prowl!  WOOT!!! WOOT!!!  Hahahahahaha.

2011 was not bad, lots of fun and exciting events for me.... lots of mini trips, Boracay (5), Cebu (3) Legazpi (2) and a few more road trips with my friends.  I met a lot of new friends too.  So, last year was not bad at all... it was great!

I am excited  because there are things I want to do and plan to try.  I have already booked 5 trips for 2012. Yes! Three Boracay and my next favorite place.... two Cebu trips.

Traveling to my favorite destinations is the only thing that makes me want to look forward to the coming days ahead.  I would talk to God and say..... Dear God! Please do not take me yet, I still have a trip booked in August!   LOL  Shallow but .... better than saying I have nothing to live for.

Everybody has a resolution for the new year.... I have two ... I am going to improve the way I manage my health and my business.

My family and I celebrated the Media Noche last night.  I met a friend in Rockwell and she asked me what I was  preparing for the  Eve.  I told her, it would just be very simple.  Serla said, Lia.... when it comes to food, nothing is simple with you.

But really .... it was and yet, everybody was happy and enjoyed the food.

Media Noche is not complete without Molo Soup

and Puto Manapla.

Hermie cooked the barbecue 90% earlier in the day and we just used the electric griller to brown the meat.

Baked Tahong

The kids requested Ate Gina to make Chicken on a bed of Mashed Potatoes.

Ate also brought embutido

and salami.

Plump and Juicy Purefoods Hotdog!  I love hotdogs!!!

I just followed the instruction on the back of the package and it turned out really well!  The hotdogs have been on the table for a couple of hours already and they were still plump and juicy as opposed  to the wrinkly ones we always see.

It was the favorite of everybody.  What made it more fun was the idea of grilling it by themselves!

My tenant, Cake Avenue, gave me Butter Rhum Loaf.

Gilly made the fruit salad

and Leche Flan.

Ohhhh and we all loved the new product, Del Monte Cheese Sauce!

Best eaten with Ruffles Sour Cream

and nachos.

I told you it was just simple!!!!!  But no matter what you put on the table, what is important is, you share it with the people you love.

PS.  Ate Gina put a surprise under our plates!

What a way to start the New Year!!!!  Hahahaha! We welcomed 2012 with a smile on our faces and a red envelope in our hands!
